The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Gets IP Rating And More Palatable Price

Together with the Galaxy Z Fold3, Samsung also updated its flip phone with the Galaxy Z Flip3. Like the Galaxy Z Fold3, the Galaxy Z Flip3 gets an IPx8 rating, making it one of the very few foldable phones to have protection against water. It also gets Samsung’s new Armor Aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus.

Compared to its predecessor, the biggest visual change on the Galaxy Z Flip3 is the outer display, where you get a bigger (and more usable) 1.9-inch Super AMOLED panel. The dual rear camera setup remains the same (12-megapixel main camera with OIS and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, but Samsung revamped the design to give it a dual-tone, dual-color finish.

The foldable inner display may be the same at 6.7-inches and with a Full HD+ resolution and a punch-hole for the 10-megapixel selfie snapper, but the Galaxy Z Flip3 amps things up by having a 120hz adaptive refresh rate.

Like the Galaxy Z Fold3, the Galaxy Z Flip3 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage–this time, Samsung is also offering the Galazy Z Flip3 with 128GB internal storage. Keeping the lights on is a 3300mAh battery with 15w wired charging and wireless charging.

The Galaxy Z Flip3 is priced at Php 52,990 for the 128GB variant and Php 56,990 for the 256GB variant. Like with the Galaxy Z Fold3, the Galaxy Z Flip3 is significantly more affordable than its predecessor and is priced very competitively. The Galaxy Z Flip3 is available for pre-order from August 19 to September 21.
