The next way foldables will compete against one another is by showcasing a slim profile when folded. Xiaomi is the latest to join that trend with the Mix Fold 3, which is thinner than its predecessor. At 9.6mm folded and 4.93mm unfolded, the Mix Fold 3 takes the crown as the thinnest foldable in the marker. Despite its svelte figure, the Mix Fold 3 can be used like a laptop, as its hinge can hold from 43 degrees to 135 degrees. With Xiaomi’s hinge design, they claim that it can last as many as 500,000 folds while being 17% lighter compared to current hinge designs.

Being a flagship offering, the Mix Fold 3 rocks a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.36Ghz. It’s paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Powering the whole foldable is a 4800mAh battery that supports 67w wired and 50w wireless charging.

The Mix Fold 3’s inner display is a 8.03-inch AMOLED panel with a 120hz refresh rate a 2K resolution, and an under-display camera, while its outer display is a 6.56-inch Full HD+ panel with a 120hz refresh rate.

Beyond pushing for a slim build, Xiaomi also went all in with the Leica-branded cameras of the Mix Fold 4, where you get a 50-megapixel IMX800 main camera with OIS, 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.2x zoom and OIS, and a 10-megapixel periscope camera with 5x zoom and OIS–making it the most complete camera setup on a foldable.

The Mix Fold 3 is priced at CNY 8999(~Php 71k) for the 12GB/256GB model, CNY 9999(~Php 79k) for the 16GB/512GB model, and CNY 10999(~Php 87k)  for the 16GB/1TB model.
