While Cherry Mobile definitely made a statement when it made the Aqua S9 Max, the Pinoy brand has more Aqua variants in store, and three models have leaked ahead of its official launch.
The entry-level Aqua S9 Lite is priced at under Php 3.5k and comes with a 6-inch HD+ display with a notch housing an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Powering it is a Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor that is paired with 3GB RAM and 32Gb internal storage. For the rear cameras, you get an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Other features include a 3000mAh battery, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Android 10 out of the box.
For Php 500 more, you get the vanilla Aqua S9, which has the same processor but with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. While it loses the fingerprint scanner, you get a bigger 6.52-inch display, 5000mAh battery with USB-C charging, and a quad rear camera setup: 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel depth sensor, 2-megapixel mono camera, and 2-megapixel AI camera.
Rounding up the lineup is the Aqua Infinity, which gets a big specs upgrade with its Helio P60 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM (no that’s not a typo) and 128GB internal storage (again, not a typo). While it has the same display size and a smaller battery than the Aqua S9, the Aqua Infinity’s rear cameras is better, as you get a 12-megapixel main camera (which we presume is a Sony sensor) and a 20-megapixel depth sensor.
The Aqua Infinity is priced at under Php 8k, which makes it a fierce rival to the Aqua S9 Max––that phone is Php 2k more expensive.
All three models are expected to launcgh next week.
