Remember the unusual Lenovo laptop we saw a few weeks ago? The brand has formally unveiled it at CES 2025 as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6. Aside from being a Copilot+ PC with its use of Intel’s Core Ultra processors, its main standout feature is its vertical rollable display that can expand from 14 inches to 16.7 inches to give you more screen estate to work with.
To make that rollable magic work, you simply press a dedicated key on the keyboard or use hand gestures to get almost 50% additional screen space. Even more impressive is that the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is only 19.9mm thin and just weighs 1.7kg. The rollable display is an high-end 120hz OLED panel that has 400nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. The screen’s base resolution is 2000×1600, while its expanded resolution is 2000×2350. You also get features like Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7, and AI features like Lenovo AI Now and Cocreator from Paint.
The crazy part about the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is that this is an actual product that’s releasing to the public, though be prepared to pay at least $3,499(~Php 205k) for this bleeding edge laptop. We also have other questions about Lenovo’s new unusual laptop like how long the 66wHr battery will last on a single charge and how durable is the rolling mechanism with long-term use.
