Upcoming Flagship Phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite

Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be one of the hottest chips to power the flagships of brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, and more. Qualcomm’s new processor is expected to bring massive gains in performance in GPU, CPU efficiency as well as power, so it’s not surprising that a lot of people are expecting great things from it. And as per usual, all of your favorite brands are just raring to use it so we rounded up all the upcoming flagships coming in 2025 (or sooner!) that are expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite:

Honor Magic7 Series

Honor has teased the Magic7 series at Snapdragon Summit 2024, highlighting not just the use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite but also featuring new AI capabilities that include improved mobile gaming performance using the NPU for graphics rendering. It is set to launch in China on October 30.

OnePlus 13

Ahead of its official launch on October 31, OnePlus has revealed the official look of the OnePlus 13, which appears to have flat frame sides, a revamped camera module, and Hasselblad tuning for the cameras. An unboxing video confirms the flat frame sides, with the alert slider living another day. It is said to have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera and a new 3x telephoto camera.

Xiaomi 15 Series

Xiaomi is set to unveil the 15 series on October 29, and we expect the brand to release a vanilla and Pro model. If Xiaomi follows the trend last year, only the standard 15 will be made available globally. From the renders, the standard Xiaomi 15 will give the Find X8 a run for the money for the slimmest bezels with its 6.36-inch display, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be around 10g lighter than its predecessor and feature a micro-quad-curved display.

Asus ROG Phone 9

Asus revealed that the launch of the ROG Phone 9 will be on November 19, and even shared renders that looks similar to the current ROG Phone 8 series. The only notable change is the AniMe matrix display at the bottom part of the display, so we’re expecting incremental upgrades for the ROG Phone 9 unless ASUS has a few tricks up its sleeve.

realme GT 7 Pro

realme is set to debut the GT 7 Pro on November 4 and also confirmed a global release. While it has yet to reveal official renders, realme recently highlighted the GT 7 Pro’s quad-curved display, which is a Samsung-made 8T LTPO panel with a peak brightness of 6000nits, around 52% more power efficient than the OLED panel used on the GT 6, and covers a class-leading 120% DCI-P3 color gamut. It’s also a step up with the competition with its use of an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

iQOO 13

vivo sub-brand iQOO confirmed that the iQOO 13 will debut in China on October 30, and will arrive in India a few weeks after. Aside from revealing the back panel design, the iQOO 13 will feature a halo notification light surrounding the camera module, along with a huge 6150mAh battery that supports 120w charging. As for the display, it will reportedly use a 6.82-inch OLED panel developed by BOE.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

While the Galaxy S25 series will reportedly debut the Exynos 2500, new rumors point to Samsung exclusively using the Snapdragon 8 Elite across the entire line. Samsung did something similar with the Galaxy S23 series, so this does not come as a surprise. Only renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have surfaced so far, and it seems that the design will be almost similar to the S24 Ultra with minor tweaks to the camera module.
