Aside from the Y35, the updated Y-series portfolio from vivo in the Philippines will also include a more affordable, entry-level offering with the Y16. The upcoming entry-level phone has been teased at vivo’s Philippines website.
From what’s posted there, the Y16 will have a 6.51-inch display, a 5000mAh battery, Helio P35 processor, 4GB RAM, and will be available in 64GB and 128GB variants. Despite being an entry-level device, vivo touts that the Y16 has a commendable camera performance that performs better than expected for its price point.
The Y16 shares a similar design language as its more expensive sibling, and that includes a slim 8.19mm body that’s commendable given that it has a large battery inside. In addition to that, the Y16 is a secure phone as it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
