First clue: It will have an in-display fingerprint scanner
vivo made a statement when it launched the X21 in the Philippines last June. What made the premium mid-range phone significant is that it is the first smartphone sold locally that is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. As a follow-up, vivo is set to launch another phone with the said tech, as seen in their latest teaser.
Our speculation is that vivo might be bringing the X21’s successor—the upcoming X23—to the Philippines. Another possibility is that they will bring the latest V-series with the V11, which is rumored to be the first model in the series to have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Regardless of what phone they will be launching locally, vivo is sure to make a statement with their upcoming release.
