With the V20 Pro recently announced in Thailand as essentially a global version of the China-only and Blackpink Lisa-endorsed S7, vivo expands the V20 series with the V20 SE. Announced in Malaysia, the V20 SE appears to be a successor to last year’s S1. Here’s what’s new with the V20 SE:
- Better internals. The V20 SE goes for team Qualcomm this time with a Snapdragon 665 processor, which provides more muscle than the S1’s Helio P65 processor. Aside from that, you also get more RAM at 8GB, making the V20 SE better in multi-tasking.
- Better cameras. While you also get a triple rear camera setup, the V20 SE’s main snapper is upgraded to 48-megapixels, though vivo did not disclose if it is a Samsung or Sony sensor.
- Slightly bigger display. You get a slightly bigger screen estate on the V20 SE at 6.44-inches, while keeping the AMOLED panel, Full HD+ resolution, and in-display fingerprint scanner.
- Faster USB-C wired charging. While you get a smaller 4100mAh battery on the V20 SE, it makes up for it with a faster 33w USB-C wired charging.
There’s no word if the V20 SE will be available outside Malaysia, but it is priced at RM 1,199(~Php 14k).
