vivo V27 Series Teased, to be Based on China-Only S16 Series?

While all the excitement for vivo is focused on the X90 series, the brand is also preparing its mid-range V27 series as well. A banner highlights the key features of the V27 series, which include OIS and EIS on the main camera that will use a 50-megapixel IMX766 sensor, 12GB RAM that can be expanded by 8GB via virtual RAM, a thin 7.4mm profile, and 66w charging.

The teaser poster also showed the back panel of the V27 series, which look similar to the S16 series that was announced in China last December. The V27 Pro even appeared on Google Play Console, stating that it will use a Dimensity 8200 processor and will come with a Full HD+ resolution and at least 8GB RAM.

With those details in mind–along with the Aura Light branding that was also mentioned in the teaser poster–we speculate that the V27 Pro will be based on the S16 Pro. That being said, we expect also to see a 6.78-inch 120hz curved AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel selfie shooter with autofocus, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 4600mAh battery.

There’s not much detail about the V27 save for that it will use a yet-to-be-announced MediaTek chip that has a Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, while the V27e will use a Helio G99 processor and will have 8GB RAM and a Full HD+ display.
