While vivo has been busy promoting the V29 series and the Y-series, the brand is starting to tease the arrival of the V30 series to the Philippines. We chanced upon an unfinished homepage for the V30 series at vivo Philippines website, where the teaser photo reveals the silhouette of one of the V30 models that’s arriving in the Philippines.
If that’s not enough, vivo Philippines actually posted two articles talking about the V30 series: one that was published January 10 confirming its existence, and another one published last January 16 talking about its design inspiration from oriental aesthetics.
Looking closely at the silhouette of the teaser image, it seems that the V30 will be based on the China-only S18 series. This does not come as a surprise, as the V29 was based on the S17 series, and the V27 was based on the S16 series.Â

Should vivo continue the same trend with the upcoming V30, we already have a hint at its possible specs. These include a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, the same 50-megapixel selfie shooter with Eye Autofocus, and the same dual rear camera setup that consist of a 50-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. vivo’s trademark Aura Light will now be a square-shaped LED light, and the 120hz curved AMOLED display will conceal two LED flashes.
Do note that vivo may make some changes with the V30 model that’s coming to the Philippines, but we’re excited for this upper mid-range phone if it will indeed rock the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, as it is a big upgrade over the V29’s Snapdragon 778G+ and is slightly better than the V27’s Dimensity 7200.
With vivo Philippines already talking about the V30 series on their website, we expect the official launch to happen in a few months.
