After vivo Philippines has been teasing the V30 5g for a few weeks, we finally got confirmation of its specs from GSMArena as it begins its release across international markets. We were right that the V30 5G will be based on the China-only S18, with the difference being more on the color options.

The main draw of the V30 5G is its dual 50-megapixel rear camera setup–both boasting autofocus. The main camera uses a new OV50E sensor that has a 1/1.55″ size, while there’s no mention about the sensor used for the ultra-wide camera–we presume that it might be the ISOCELL JN1. Unlike the China-only S18 that only comes with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, the global V30 5G has a more rounded set of cameras.Â
Like previous V-series models, the V30 retains the same 50-megapixel selfie camera with Eye Autofocus.
Like the S18, the V30 5G has a new Aura Light design that’s now square-shaped and bigger than the one on the V29 5G.
The display is the same as the V29 5G, where you have a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5k resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering the V30 5G is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor thats paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Battery capacity is bigger at 5000mAh, and that’s a feat for vivo since the V30 5G measures 7.5mm thin and comes with 80w fast charging.
The V30 5G comes with Android 14-based FunTouch 14, and vivo’s marketing materials point to at least 4 years of software support–so we expect at least 3 major Android updates on the V30 5G.
For the color variants, vivo Philippines has teased the Bloom White colorway, so we expect to get that color option in the country. Other color options include Waving Aqua, Lush Green, and Noble Black.
vivo has yet to give the pricing and availability of the V30 5G. Given the variants that were made available since the V27 5G, we expect the Philippines to get at least the 12GB/256GB variant.Â
