A lightweight V9?
While we know that Vivo will be unveiling the entry-level Y71 soon, a different variant of the V9 was spotted in India. Called the V9 Youth, this phone has the same looks with the V9, though it comes with a few hardware downgrades to keep costs low.
Among the downgrades include using a Snapdragon 450 processor, a 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear camera setup, and a 16-megapixel front camera. In addition, you lose 4K video recording with the V9 Youth.
Other than those mentioned, the V9 Youth has identical specs with the V9. These include the notch-sporting 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, 4GB RAM, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3260mAh battery.
As for the pricing, the V9 Youth retails for Rs 18990 (~Php 15k), making it a few thousand pesos cheaper than the V9. Should Vivo consider bringing the V9 Youth to our shores?
