Aside from Samsung, HUAWEI, and HONOR, OPPO is the latest brand to bring its foldable phone to the Philippines. The foldable phone landscape in the Philippines might become more interesting, as there are signs that the vivo X Fold5 might arrive in the country.

A poster of the X Fold5 was spotted at the vivo Concept Store at Ayala Malls Central Bloc in Cebu by Utterly Techie, indicating that vivo might be expanding its premium offerings in the Philippines beyond the X200 FE and Watch GT. The sighting of the X Fold5’s poster is not surprising, as vivo has plans of making the X Fold5 official globally starting in India together with the X200 FE. This would be the first time vivo would make its foldable phone available globally.

vivo plans to unveil the X200 FE and X Fold5 in India on July 14, while the launch of the X200 FE in the Philippines is set for July 18. There’s a good chance that vivo Philippines will surprise us with the launch of the X Fold5, or launch it at a later date.

You also get a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports both 80w wired and 40w wireless charging, along with a ZEISS-branded rear camera setup that consists of a IMX921 sensor for the main camera with OIS and a f/1.57 aperture, an IMX882 sensor for the telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, OIS and, a f/2.55 aperture, and a 50-megapixel sensor for the ultrawide with an f/2.05 aperture.
