The 180-megapixel periscope camera of the former camera king Magic6 Pro has new competition, as vivo has finally unveiled the much-awaited X100 Ultra that boasts a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 periscope camera. It’s the largest sensor ever used for a periscope sensor at 1/1.4 inches, and has a 85mm focal length equivalent and a F/2.67 aperture.
What makes the X100 Ultra’s periscope special is that the sensor used is co-developed with Samsung exclusively for vivo, and that is utilizes Zeiss’ T* coating and has Zeiss APO certification–in short, the X100 Ultra might have the best periscope camera on a phone to date. Aside from a 3.7x optical zoom, the periscope camera also doubles as a macro camera with 20x magnification.
Beyond its groundbreaking periscope camera, the X100 Ultra also has a 50-megapixel LYT-900 sensor for the main camera with gimbal stabilization and a 50-megapixel LYT-600 for the ultra-wide camera. It is also the first vivo phone to use the brand’s in-house BlueImage algorithm, and is paired with a V3+ imaging chip that allows the X100 Ultra to shoot 4K portrait mode video. Speaking of videos, the X100 Ultra supports Dolby Vision and 4K 120FPS recording.
The rest of the specs include a 6.78-inch QHD+ 120hz LTPO AMOLED curved display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 50-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5500mAh battery with 80w wired and 30w wireless charging.
The pricing of the X100 Ultra in China is as follows:
