Meant to be attached to the X200 Ultra’s photography kit via a custom adapter, the add-on lens attaches to the area where the 200-megapixel periscope camera is found. The add-on lens has a 13-piece glass setup that offers a f/2.3 aperture and a 200mm equivalent focal length with 8.7x optical zoom. vivo claims that shots up to 800mm focal length (35x zoom) are “highly usable,” while shots can go up to 1600mm range (70x zoom).
In the samples shared of flower shots from afar, the native 200mm focal length showcases the lens add-on to be sharp, and the 800mm and 1600mm hybrid zoom shots appearing to be sharp as well.
vivo also shared a sample of using the add-on lens to the X200 Ultra in a concert, where the photo of the artist in close up was sharp and clear despite taking the shot from a distance.
As for the photography kit, you’re getting a hefty grip with a dedicated shutter button, zoom toggle, and scroll wheel, along with a dedicated video button, a 2300mAh battery, and a “fashionable” shoulder strap attachment.
