That’s five cameras total

There’s been chatter online about Vivo’s upcoming flagship smartphone, and now we have a few more details of the Chinese company’s upcoming flagship. The device, dubbed as the XPlay 7, is more than likely going to be the first recipient of Qualcomm’s recently unveiled under-display fingerprint scanner that the brand showed off in MWC Shanghai a few months ago.

Even wilder is the fact that recent leaks and slides show that the XPlay 7 will also have five cameras – two in the front, three in the back – as well as full-screen display and minimal bezels like the Galaxy S8 and S8+. We’ve seen quite a few phones that have dual rear cameras, but if the leaks and renders are true, then Vivo’s upcoming flagship will be the first one with five cameras embedded in the body that isn’t a Tango-enabled device. 

How will the third camera work? Your guess is as good as ours – it can be a zoom camera combined with a wide-angle shooter plus a monochrome sensor, but really we’re just spitballing here.

Rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM along with a possibility of an 8GB model later on.
