It’s official, Xiaomi’s latest premium flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 11 finally has a Philippine launch date. The anointed date is pegged on February 25 this week, as announced by Xiaomi Philippines on their official Facebook page.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the world’s first smartphone to sport a Snapdragon 888 chipset when it was announced late last year. The phone also comes with a triple camera module on the rear, headlined by a 108-megapixel main sensor.
Other features include a large 6.81-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 4600mAh battery, 55W fast charging capability, and comes packing Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
Xiaomi’s Mi 11 was first launched in China in December with basic and Pro versions. Unlike the China version of the phone, we might get an 8GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB memory configuration for local models. Another key difference our variant will get a 55w GaN charger in the box. Good news for us, since Xiaomi initially offered the Mi 11 without a power brick in China, though they did offer the charger as a freebie for their Chinese consumers.
Smartwatch. Details about its local retail price and inclusions have yet to be revealed but based on its Global prices the Xiaomi Mi 11 might be priced around 749 Euros(~Php 43.4k) for the 128GB model and 799 Euros(~Php 46.3k) for the 256GB model.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Philippine launch can’t come sooner, as it’s never been a better time than now to upgrade to a 5G-capable phone thanks to the 5G launches of our local telcos.
