Xiaomi Announces Updated Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Gaming Laptops

Featuring GTX-series graphics cards and 8th-gen Intel processors

Xiaomi launched its 2018 series of laptops with updated specs in China. To start off, their Mi Notebook Pro series now have a GTX edition, with a GTX 1050 Max-Q as its main feature paired with an updated cooling system. Aside from the GPU upgrade, the Mi Notebook Pro GTX Edition has support for Dolby Atmos, a backlit keyboard, a 6-inch trackpad, and a 60Wh battery with USB-C fast charging.

Other specs include an i7-8550U or i5-8350U processor, 8 or 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 15.6-inch Full HD Display. The i5 variant with 8GB RAM is priced at CNY 6,299 (~Php 49k) while the i7 variant with 16GB RAM is priced at CNY 7,599 (~Php 59.1k)

On the other hand, the 2nd-gen Mi Gaming laptops now come with 8th-gen Intel processor, a 256GB default SSD storage, and basically the same spec sheet of the previous-gen Mi Gaming laptops. Pricing starts at CNY 6,699 (~Php 52.1k) for the entry-level model, which comes with an i5-8300H processor, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti GPU, and 8GB RAM.

Both laptops will be available in China starting August 16.
