It’s almost here!
Alright Xiaomi fans, your prayers have been answered. Hugo Barra has announced that they will start selling the Redmi 1S here in the PH starting September 4, at an unbelievable price of just Php 5,599. The Redmi 1S is one of Xiaomi’s most affordable smartphones, but true to Xiaomi’s reputation it still packs some seriously awesome hardware inside despite carrying an affordable pricetag.

Like the Mi 3, the Redmi 1S will be sold under Lazada, and will sales will start 12 noon on September 4. Unfortunately, Hugo did not reveal how many units will go on sale on September 4, so if you want to buy the device, you may need to be fast and/or lucky.
Aside from the Redmi 1S, Xiaomi will also start selling other accessories here in the PH as well, which include their sought after Mi Piston Headphones for just Php 695, soft covers, official screen protectors and hard covers for the Redmi 1S.
