More RAM and internal storage compared to the base Redmi 6A
When Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A together with the Redmi 6 last month, the entry-level device came with only one variant—a 2GB/16GB model priced at around Php 5,000 when converted to Peso.
This time, the Chinese brand silently launched a better version that comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Save for the different configuration, this variant of the Redmi 6A is the same as the base model—that means you are also getting an Helio A22 CPU, a 5.45-inch HD+ display, and 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras.
The price is very competitive: A listing in JD.com prices the 3GB variant at CNY 699 (~Php 5.7k), which means you are adding around Php 700 for more RAM and internal storage. Should this Redmi 6A variant make it to our shores (along with the rest of the Redmi 6 line), this makes it one of the cheapest phones to come with a 3GB/32GB configuration.
