Xiaomi Smart Glasses Now a Reality under Mijia Ecosystem

Remember Xiaomi with their own set of Smart Glasses, stealing the thunder from the Smart Glasses made in collaboration with Facebook and Ray-Ban? Their prototype version is now a reality under its Mijia Ecosystem.

Now available for pre-order at Xiaomi’s in-house crowdfunding platform for CNY 2499(~Php 20.5k), the Mijia Smart Glasses weighs at 100 grams and is powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 processor that’s paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The Mijia Smart Glasses come with a dual camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with EIS and an 8-megapixel f/3.4 telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS. With the included internal storage, you can shoot up to 100 minutes of video–though Xiaomi did not disclose if this is in Full HD or 4K resolution.

As for the display, the silicon-based OLED is made by Sony, has a peak brightness of 300 nits, 3281ppi density, and is TUV certified for blue light levels. Keeping the lights on is a 1020mAh battery that supports 10w charging and can be topped up from flat to 80% in 30 mins. Other features include live translation and support for XiaoAI.

While its current crowdfunding price is CNY 2499, its official price is CNY 2699(~Php 22.9k). There’s no word if the Mijia Smart Glasses will be made available outside of China.
