Xiaomi’s pocket rocket is coming to town

If you like the Mi 9 but find the budget flagship phone a tad too big for your size, you might want to the Mi 9 SE. Xiaomi Philippines posted two teasers in its Facebook Page, each having a caption: “Another 9 is coming” for the first post, and “Size is less, can you give a guess?” for the second post.

The Mi 9 SE is a compact version of the Mi 9 with its 5.97-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, along with a triple rear camera setup: 48-megapixel f/1.75 Sony IMX586 main camera, 13-megapixel f/2.4 wide-angle camera, and 8-megapixel telephoto camera.

It does not disappoint when it comes to its internals: you get a Snapdragon 712 processor—basically a Snapdragon 710 with higher clock speeds, an upgrade in fast charging speeds, and better wireless audio codes, 6GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage.

As far as local pricing is concerned, we expect the 6GB/64GB variant to have a sub-Php 16k price.
