Roughly the same price as the Mi 8
After a plethora of phone releases that include the Redmi 6 family, the Mi Max 3, and the Mi A2 family, Xiaomi is set to launch a new phone under the Pocophone brand. Little is known about the phone, save for having a Snapdragon 845 processor.
Recently, a new report revealed more about the Pocophone—price included.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will seemingly be cheap as chips… listing in eastern Euroland for ~420 Euro (6/64GB) and ~460 Euro (6/128GB) (prices converted). If it really has an SDM845 that pricing would be really impressive for a device with a 5,99in 2160x1080px screen.

Called the Pocophone F1, it is touted to be one of the cheapest Snapdragon 845-equipped phones out there: pricing is at 420 Euro (~Php 26.2k) for the 6GB/64GB model and 460 Euro (~Php 28.7k) for the 6GB/128GB model. For reference, the PH pricing of the Mi 8 is Php 25,990 for the 6GB/64GB version and Php 27,990 for the 6GB/128GB version.
Other rumored features include a notched 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, dual rear cameras, and a 4000mAh battery. No word yet if it will be sold beyond Europe, but Roland Quandt said that there will be international versions of the Pocophone.
Price aside, it is interesting for Xiaomi to create a new sub-brand. We will know in the coming months Xiaomi’s strategy for the Pocophone brand, so stay tuned.
