Xiaomi never fails to amaze us
It turns out that Xiaomi is not just making smartphones or smart products. Recently, Shenzhen Duoqin Technology teamed up with Xiaomi through the latter’s crowdfunding platform for an AI-powered feature phone. Called the Qin, the feature phone comes in two variants, and both have USB-C, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, and a 1480mAh battery. Making it unique is it comes with AI capabilities through the use of Xiaomi’s Xiao AI voice assistant.
There are differences when it comes to internals: the Qin 1 has a MediaTek MT6260A processor with 8MB RAM and 16MB internal storage. The Qin 1S, on the other hand, has beefier specs with a Spreadtrum SC9820 processor, 256MB RAM, and 512MB internal storage. In addition, the Qin 1S has VoLTE and GPS.
The Qin will be available on September 15 with a starting price of CNY 199(~Php 1.6k) for the Qin 1.
