These are the Possible New Features of the ZERO 40

After Infinix unveiled several variants of the NOTE 40 series, the brand’s next major launch will be the ZERO series. While Infinix has yet to confirm details about the ZERO 40, they have revealed two new technologies that might become key features for the next ZERO series.

The first innovation they revealed is a 720-degree NFC tech, where Infinix explores expanded signal coverage and stability for NFC functionality. It stands out from existing NFC tech as it can read cards that are tapped through the frame–current NFC tech limits the feature to only the phone’s back panel.

Infinix’s logic for this tech is to give users added convenience in using NFC for tap-to-pay payments and for seamless entry while commuting. Aside from the added reliability, Infinix assures that their latest NFC innovation is safe, as it can be disabled remotely if the phone is lost or stolen.

The other innovation Infinix announced involves using AI with a new 108-megapixel sensor co-developed with Samsung ISOCELL. Called  AI-Powered Advanced Deep Learning Algorithm (AIADLA), the tech makes use of the deep learning algorithms found on Samsung ISOCELL sensors to optimize images by reducing noise and improving detail reproduction.

The three examples Infinix shared in its press release show improved detail reproduction especially when capturing subjects from a distance. The tech looks like a variation of in-sensor zooming that we’ve been seeing on phones, though we expect Infinix to reveal more details about this tech in the coming weeks.

For both innovations, Infinix said that they will be available with its upcoming devices, and the ZERO 40 comes to mind. There will be a 4G and 5G version for the ZERO 40, with both models expected to come with as much as 512GB of storage. The 4G version will use a Helio G99, while the 5G version will use a Dimensity 8200.

Aside from both versions of the ZERO 40, Infinix is expected to surprise everyone with the ZERO Flip as its first foldable device. The upcoming device is expected to have a wraparound display, dual cameras, and 70w wired charging, while one of the variants is expected to be an 8GB/512GB one.
