As it continues to improve its under-display camera tech that first came out with the Axon 20 5G, ZTE debuts its second-generation under-display tech with the Axon 30 5G

Among the many improvements, ZTE made to their UD camera tech is increasing the PPI count above the camera module to 400PPI (up by 200PPI on the first-gen version). This is done by rearranging pixels with higher transparency cathodes. The 16-megapixel camera used for the UD tech has improved pixel binning, where it can capture 2.4um equivalent pixels (up from 1.12um on the first-gen version). With these improvements, ZTE claims that  the UD camera gets more light, leading to improved image clarity.
Going through the specs, the Axon 30 5G is of flagship caliber with a Snapdragon 870 processor powering it. You get up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage, along with a 4200mAh battery with support for 55w wired charging. Android 11-based MyOS 11 is included out of the box.
The display is premium, as you get a sizeable 6.92-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 120hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. The quad-rear camera setup comprises a 64-megapizel IMX682 main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
ZTE Axon 30 5G Price
The Axon 30 5G will be available in China on August 3 starting at CNY 2198(~Php 17.1k) for the 6GB/128GB model up to CNY 3098(~Php 24k) for the 12GB/256GB variant. Unlike the Axon 20 5G, ZTE confirmed that the Axon 30 5G will be available globally soon.
