realme wants to spice things up at MWC 2025, as it teased an Ultra device that they will unveil at the annual trade event. From the teaser poster, the “Ultra” phone is different from the realme 14 Pro+ that’s official in India and China given the bigger camera module.
Also distinct from its design is the dual-tone finish that looks similar to Xiaomi’s own Ultra phone.
One of the main selling points of this “Ultra” phone from realme is that it has a crisp image at 10x zoom, which we think might be its optical zoom range or a hybrid (digital+optical) zoom. It has been a while since we’ve seen phones with 10x optical zoom like realme’s X3 SuperZoom, so we guess that the brand might reintroduce the feature once again with their “Ultra” phone.
realme even shared photo samples of its “Ultra” phone on Twitter/X, and making it intriguing is that realme might be pushing periscope cameras to the limit with a f/2.0 aperture–something that’s unheard of in smartphones. As a result, this “Ultra” phone produces pleasing bokeh and sharp details at a 10x zoom (the base focal length is around 23mm based on the shared shooting information).
The sample photos are very impressive for a smartphone, and we can’t wait for realme to reveal more details about it at MWC 2025.
