Every time a 2-megapixel camera comes into conversation, there’s a good chance that it’s nothing but another filler camera to stuff up the spec sheet. TECNO wants to change that perception with its SpectraVision camera. Beyond a mere filler, the SpectraVision is a “real-time color-rendering sensor” that’s aimed towards improving color accuracy.
The SpectraVision has a9-channel spectral sensor and a spectral color algorithm that’s developed by TECNO. The brand claims that their solution surpasses traditional 4-channel RGGB and RYYB solutions, as well as single-point spectral sensors. Aside from the hardware, the SpectraVision also uses TECNO’s Imaging Matrix tech, which is described as anAI imaging “brain” that harmonizes advanced hardware and AI-powered software.
The SpectraVison’s accurate color reproduction is also integrated with TECNO’s updated Universal Tone algorithm, capturing the nuances of diverse skin tones with remarkable accuracy. “This seamless integration of advanced hardware and sophisticated software delivers a truly inclusive photographic experience, making it a game-changer for users seeking natural and authentic portraits in any lighting condition,” TECNO explains in its press release.
TECNO didn’t reveal which phones will get the SpectraVision camera, but it looks to be promising with how we usually perceive 2-megapixel cameras.
