After left and right teasers from Honda, it finally unveiled the 2023 Honda CR-V. Surprisingly, the all-new model is now available with a hybrid engine, despite the familiar look.

Recent teasers from Honda have given us a glimpse of the exterior design, making it less surprising. Even so, the changes are pretty subtle. The front and rear fascias are now refined, highlighted by the huge mesh grille and thin headlights.

Dimension wise, the all-new model is 2.7-inch longer and half-inch wider. The wheelbase is also 1.6-inch longer. Altogether, it makes the 2023 Honda CR-V the biggest model so far.

With the increase in overall dimension, Honda was able to stretch the legroom for the rear passengers. Even the cargo space was expanded, giving it a total of 26.3 cubic feet of cargo space (76.5 cubic feet with rear seats folded).

Moving on to the interior, it shares the same interior as the latest-gen Honda Civic. Having said that, it features two screens inside: a 9-inch infotainment (7-inch for lower variants) and a 7-inch digital instrument panel. Of course, the infotainment is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. Audiophiles would be glad to know that it comes with a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

In addition, the all-new CR-V comes with Honda Sensing, giving it a suite of driver-assist and safety systems. This includes a new wide-angle camera with a 90-degree field of view, a radar system that can see 120 degrees, a blind-spot monitor, and a traffic jam assist with low-speed braking and sign recognition.

For engine, the previous 1.5-liter turbocharged engine has been carried over and upgraded. It now produces 190 horsepower and 243 Nm of torque. There is also an addition of a hybrid engine, which offers a combined output of  204 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque. The combustion engine is paired with a CVT. Meanwhile, hybrid engine is paired with a unique single-gear transmission.

New for this model as well is the updated Real Time AWD system. This gives the CR-V several driving modes, making it better at conquering terrains.
