Team SIBOL continues to prove its reign in Mobile Legends at the 32nd SEA Games, as the Men’s category bagged the gold medal–their third consecutive gold–after beating Malaysia in a dominating 3-0 win.
Despite a loss during the earlier group stage, SIBOL proved that they are a force to reckon with: not even a few missteps stopped them from beating Malaysia in Game 1, while SIBOL was able to beat Malaysia’s defensive tactics in Game 2. Determined to go for a sweep, SIBOL went all out in Game 3, beating Malaysia in just 11 minutes to get the gold in Mobile Legends and lengthen the Philippines’ streak in the SEA Games.
The SIBOL team for the 32nd SEA Games Mobile Legends match consists of BREN Esports’ Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson, David “Flaptzy” Canon, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano, and Onic Philippines’ Nowee “Ryota” Macasa.
Their gold medal performance at the 32nd SEA Games proved to be a redemption for both BREN Esports and Onic Philippines after an early exit from the recently concluded Mobile Legends Professional League-Philippines, where ONIC Philippines ended in fifth-sixth place and BREN Esports finished fourth.
SIBOL head Francis “Ducky” Glindro is proud to have coached a team that has bagged a gold medal, while Arcangel adds another accolade to his list as the only player to win two gold medals in Mobile Legends.
