Is your wallet feeling a bit heavy today? Well, if you’re itching to get a new ultraportable business laptop and have Php 111,111 to spare, you may want to go to ASUS Philippines’ online store to check out the ExpertBook B9 OLED.

If the name wasn’t clear enough, this is a new version of ASUS’ well-received ExpertBook B9, now sporting a WQXGA+ OLED display. Make no mistake, this 16:10 screen has a 2880×1800 resolution that impressed onlookers at this year’s COMPUTEX in Taiwan. The sole model currently available for purchase on ASUS Philippines’ website boasts 400 nits of brightness, 100% sRGB coverage, and is Pantone Validated.

Of course, the display isn’t everything, and the ExpertBook B9 OLED also inherits all the good features of its predecessor. Among them is the original’s incredibly thin and light chassis made out of what ASUS claims is “premium magnesium-lithium alloy.”

Despite being only 0.62cm thick and weighing just 990 grams, the ExpertBook B9 OLED supposedly passes a US military standard called MIL-STD 810H. ASUS claims its MIL-STD 810H methodology includes tests on both high and low-temperature cycles, humidity-aggravated cycles, vibration, and shock.

Another feature the ExpertBook B9 OLED shares with its older sibling is support for Intel’s business-oriented vPro processors, with the locally available model using an Intel Core i7-1355U that’s paired with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.

The newer machine also has 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, 1TB NVMe SSD, a 1080p Windows Hello-capable camera that’s powered by AI, a fingerprint scanner, 63WHr battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.

For I/O, you get a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a micro HDMI port that doubles as an Ethernet port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-A 2.0 port, a Micro SD card reader, and a SIM card slot.
