The AYA Neo Air Plus is the first handheld gaming device to feature the AMD Mendocino, making it a very capable gaming device and a portable windows PC.
AMD Mendocino combines the high-performance GPU architecture of AMD’s Ryzen 6000U series chips with up to four of the Zen 2 processor cores of Ryzen 4000U series. According to AYA, the Neo Air Plus will include an M.2 2280 SSD, a microSD card reader, and the company’s AYA Space game launcher software.
The Neo Air Plus has support for Windows, Linux-based AYA Neo OS, and Steam OS. So far, it is the biggest competitor the the Steam Deck which is also offering a strong gaming performance for a low price. Given the limited announcement from AYA, we do not know yet how it will fare against Steam Desk in terms of performance. However, it will surely be close in terms of pricing.
Neo Air Plus Price
The portable gaming device is expected to retail at $289 or Php 15,000, making it one of the most affordable handhelds with an x86 processor to date. According to reports, the company will offer a launch promotion that brings the price down to $199 for a limited time for members of the AYA Community.
