Three years after the last BlizzCon in 2023, with the 2021 edition being an online-only event, Blizzard Entertainment is bringing back BlizzCon as a physical event at the Anaheim Convention Center from September 12-13 2026. That’s more than a year before it returns, but this is significant as it hints that Blizzard might have big surprises in store.Â

Blizzard revealed some of their plans for BlizzCon 2026 in their blog post, and some of the highlights include staples like Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competition, hands-on gameplay, and more. “We aim to meaningfully elevate this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience,” Blizzard said in their post, adding that BlizzCon has been a tradition since 2005.

“We are building this event just like we build our games: with a deep commitment to our players, with respect for our players’ connections to our universes, and as a celebration of the strength of the bonds formed through shared adventure,” Blizzard adds.
