Byahe Para Sa Lahat: MPT Mobility And A Futuristic Transport Ecosystem

When some hear of MPT Mobility, they imagine mere transport from Point A to Point B.

However, MPT Mobility is “more than that,” as illustrated by company President and CEO, Rodrigo E. Franco. He continues: “being mobile is not only transport but also the elevation of your stature and lifestyle,” so his company wishes to do so for the Filipino people.

As such, MPT Mobility has expanded into essential operating units, which is a union of strategic partnerships that “embody truly innovative solutions.” This is also for the benefit of the nation and its rapidly growing economy.

These are Dibz, On-Us Solutions Inc (Byahe), Spot On, Easytrip Services Corp, MPT DriveHub, Savvice Corporation, NLEX Drive & Dine, and Onehub. We’ll do our best to concisely go into each one and give you the information you need.

The program started off with NLEX Drive & Dine, which is the top motorists’ Toll Service Facility, according to sir Renato Ticzon.

It is the evolution of the old-school “gas station and convenience store” model, currently home to dozens of tenants covering the fields of retail, outlet, leisure, and foodstuff. The next plan is to expand this through beautification and the addition of natural decorations such as gardens. Multilevel parking buildings and traffic management should help alleviate the issues of clogging along the entrances and within the facility.

Next up is Savvice Corporation, a play on words between Savvy and Service. This is a manpower outsourcing firm that takes care of the human resource needs of top utility companies, as well as others with over 1,300 employees and climbing. Current services include fleet services, towing, roadways, and general services; however future plans see exclusive partnerships and other useful additions.

After that was Spot On, an advertising firm that takes care of all advertising solutions along MPT tollways.

Easytrip Corporation, meanwhile, is the exclusive electronic toll collection system that covers NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, CALAX, and the C5 Link Flyover. As of now, there are 3 million RFID-enabled users in the country, with the largest spike coming during the beginning of the pandemic.

Planned technological advancements are as follows: more Easytrip Kiosks, Transaction Tracking, and Onboarding to an Integrated Account Registration Platform. The goal here is to make trips more convenient and to digitalize all the processes where possible.

Up next is MPT DriveHub. It is pegged as the “ultimate mobility experience” through an application with a user-friendly interface and diverse set of features. Tracking of RFID information has never been easier, with real-time reloading, toll fee calculators, travel advisories, roadside assistance access, among others.

Coming to the app are EV maps for charging, tourism reservations, and other options never before thought possible through just one application.

Is parking a constant issue? Dibz allows you to call “dibs” on parking slots. It allows a hassle-free experience for motorists by allowing for advanced reservations of parking, long-term slot bookings, and even the use of “parking AIRBNBs” or rental of slots for a certain period of time. If you’ve had alcohol in your system, you can hire a driver on the spot to bring you home in your own vehicle. Of course, the manpower is provided by one of the sister MPT Mobility companies.

On-Us Solutions Inc, otherwise known as Byahe, is a transportation company that MPT Mobility has recently acquired a stake in. It specialized in private jeepney operations with a roster of around 30 environment-friendly, modernized jeepneys with routes in Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, and Pampanga.

The plan here is to revitalize the local transportation system by providing steady income for jeepney drivers instead of a boundary system, setting designated routes and schedules, and eventually transitioning into EV technology.

All there MPT Mobility Solutions are forward-thinking, but one would be mistaken to say they’re out of touch with reality. The plans are feasible, with adequate study and background to prove it. Now it’s just up to the implementation of these plans to bring it to reality.
