The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI), the official distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines, is planning to bring the Suburban and Silverado into the country anytime soon.
According to AutoIndustriya, they firmly believe that Chevrolet Philippines will launch both the Silverado pick-up and the Suburban full-size SUV in the country. This is because TCCCI has already secured an “approval certificate” for them.
Although the vehicles were not particularly named in the said approval, the engine displacement was mentioned— they both have a 6.2-liter engine. In addition, the gross vehicle weight (GVW) for both vehicles was also mentioned: 3,220kg and 3,490kg.
Using those details, AutoIndustriya was able to confirm that these are the Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Silverado.
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado is a full-size and light-duty pickup truck. It is GM’s best-selling nameplate and usually takes second place in overall U.S. vehicle sales. On the other hand, the 2022 Chevrolet Suburban is a great option in the full-size SUV class. It has a very generous interior with seating for seven to nine occupants, depending on the configuration. It also comes with a lot of tech and driver assistance features as standard.
With the 6.2-liter V8 engine, both vehicles will produce 420 PS along with 623 Nm of torque.
