Converge and TapDMV Launch BlastTV in the Philippines

Converge expands into the content business with the launch of BlastTV, a streaming television service that’s designed to elevate the entertainment, lifestyle, and sports viewing experiences for all of its subscribers. Made possible in partnership with TapDMV, BlastTV has a solid line of entertainment channels that include Blaast Cinema, Family Movies, Fear, Blast Action, Reality TV, Laff, Crime TV, Talk Shows, Game Show Central, Comic U, and Showcase Drama–on top of Video on Demand.

To make its offering unique, Converge also revealed that Blast TV will be the streaming home of Studio Universal in the Philippines on September 15. A partnership between NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer and TapDMV, Studio Universal will feature blockbuster movie titles each year, that include the Fast & Furious, Jurassic, and Despicable Me franchises, amongst many others.

To further make it a compelling offering, BlastTV will be made available to every Converge subscriber as a complementary value-added service under the first in the market “Watch Now, Pay Zero” initiative.

“We’re delighted to collaborate with TapDMV on this initiative, delivering a broad array of dynamic and high-quality content directly to our subscribers’ screens at no additional cost, as long as they are subscribed to any Converge fiber broadband plan,” Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Uy said.
