The concept of adding trackers to devices isn’t anything new. We’ve seen how Apple AirTags work (and the surrounding controversy) as well as other applications of said technology. But what if we told you that Dell has partnered with Tile to make finding lost devices easier than ever before?
The first implementation of this is with the Dell Rechargeable Active Pen. It’s a stylus that adds another layer of functionality to select Dell 2-in-1s, much like how Samsung’s S Pen worked for the Note devices (and eventually the S).
This stylus boasts nearly-zero lag and high sensitivity to adjustments in pressure; very much comparable to the experience of writing on paper. The battery is estimated to last up to 40 days of use. That’s a long time for something you’ll be using quite often.
Should the battery be drained, it can be filled to 80% in just 20 minutes of charge and 100% in slightly over an hour. Other notable features include magnetic attachments, easily-programmable side buttons, an indicator light, and a LED light for notifications.
Last but not the least, you’ll easily find this pen if you misplace it. This Dell device comes with Tile tracking built-in so it’s difficult to lose. You can also open the App, press “Find,” and the pen will begin buzzing to notify you of its location.
