The famed vacuum brand is set to develop the latest Dyson Research and Development Facility in the PH. This cutting-edge plant will be located within Sto. Tomas, Batangas; just a stone’s throw away from the country’s capital. The company’s looking to invest PHP 11 Billion as this is a strategic move to move the R&D and manufacturing facilities closer together.

For those unaware, the company currently has an advanced manufacturing facility in Laguna and a Technology and Engineering center in Alabang.

“The new campus in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, will be one of the largest investments, and most advanced technology manufacturing centers, in the country and underscores the growing importance of the Philippines in Dyson’s global ambitions. The architecture of the campus will prioritize air quality, natural light, and greenery to support collaboration and the generation of new ideas. The campus includes leisure and sports areas, as well as laboratories and offices. The new state-of-the-art facilities are the most significant of their kind in the Philippines for Dyson.” the company said.

As a result of this, Dyson is promising 400+ new job engineering openings for interested PH applicants. Specialized R&D teams will be formed as well, mostly focused on AI, robotics, hardware, and software engineering.

Timeline-wise, the company is targeting for the campus to be fully operational within the first half of 2024.
