Haven’t had enough of Drive to Survive? That racing bug get to you? Well, you’d be happy to know that Qualcomm has officially inked a multiyear partnership with the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team. At least now you can say that you have a piece of racing DNA in your device. What’s this all about?

According to the Mercedes-AMG F1 site, the Qualcomm Snapdragon chips will be used to create “unique fan experiences” whether digitally or in person. This should help fans feel closer to the action than ever before, no matter where they are. The company claims that it will use this strategic collaboration to expedite digital transformation within the brand.

This brings forth the image of speed in everyone’s minds. One of the top teams in the fastest racing league in the world, collaborating with the top chipset manufacturer? For these two entities, pace is an utmost priority. They’re also pushed forward by competition – whether on the track or in the benchmarks.

Besides fan experiences, we can also see Qualcomm Snapdragon being the processor of choice for more technical aspects. Possibly even in the car, as long as the company can prove that its chipsets are reliable enough under the sustained load of a modern racing machine.

Expectedly, changes will also happen on the cosmetic side of things. The Snapdragon logo will be featured on the team’s 2023 car, the Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E PERFORMANCE. It will also be on the drivers’ race suits, senior personnel’s gear, and within the garage or trackside. Not a bad deal if we say so.
