First Modern Port in Borac, Palawan is Now Complete

The Philippines is very much known to the rest of the world as a tropical paradise. Blessed with countless numbers of beautiful and amazing beaches, tourists flock to the country to experience this. Standing out from the list of the best beaches in the country is Palawan. In fact, Palawan has even been named the “best island in the world,” a title given by renowned international travel magazine Travel+Leisure. To give tourists and locals an easier time heading to Palawan’s famed islands, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has completed the construction of a modern port in Borac, Coron, Palawan.

Modern Port Borac Coron Palawan

The port development project was started back in November 2018 by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) alongside the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). And today, DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade happily announced the official completion of the modern port dedicated to Borac, Coron, Palawan.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that the project was started so that both residents and tourists entering and leaving the island would be able to travel safely and more comfortably. In addition to this, ships containing deliveries to the island would be able to render their services more efficiently.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is enthusiastic that the port will further serve its purpose not only at the national level but also in international travels.

The DOTR has revealed, “Inaasahan din na ang pantalan ay isa sa mga magiging pangunahing port of calls ng mga international cruise ships na inaasahang manunumbalik sa Palawan, oras na matapos ang pandemya.”

The government agency is also ensuring the national public that they are currently working on strengthening the maritime connectivity and mobility of the country.
