Geely Auto formally returns to the Philippines with Geely Automotive International Corporation (GAIC) taking over operations under Geely Motor Philippines Corp. (GMP).
“Geely will not only be making cars, but we are also creating a better way of living. We aim to bring safety, technology, innovative thinking, and cutting-edge design to Filipino users in a more accessible way. We are enabling them to explore new horizons, possibilities, and perspectives to see the world in full,” Geely Motor Philippines President Will Wan said.
The main highlight of Geely’s relaunch in the Philippines is the preview of the EX5 EV, which has a modern design highlighted by a sleek, aerodynamic profile with a 0.269 drag coefficient, LED taillights, and a technological front grille. The EX5 comes with FLYME Auto System and FLYME SOUND for seamless connectivity. Being an EV, the EX5 uses Geely’s new Short Blade Battery.
Also part of the launch are refreshed versions of the Coolray and Emgrand.
The 2025 Coolray uses a more powerful 1.5L engine that delivers 172 horsepower, while its exterior uses Geely’s “energy storm” design that includes LED headlights, 18-inch tomahawk-style wheels, and a spoiler. Inside, you get a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with CarPlay, and an electronic shift lever. Other features include wireless charging, faux suede multifunction seats, and a 540° HD panoramic camera system.
The Emgrand, on the other hand, gets upgrades like a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a new 1.5L engine, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Early buyers of the Coolray can enjoy a Php 70,000 discount and up to a Php 90,000 discount if they place a Php 10,000 deposit until February 28. For the Emgrand, early buyers can get a Php 40,000 discount.
As for the EX5, Geely will be holding a pre-selling until March 31, with the first batch of reservations receiving a Php 10,000 discount.
