“For renters, transients, and those living in temporary homes like dorms or weekday apartments, it offers the flexibility of high-speed internet and the convenience of plug and play, no need for wiring at home. It also provides a viable alternative for our wireless 4G and xDSL subscribers seeking better connectivity in areas where fiber isn’t available,” Globe at Home Vice President and Head of Brand Management Abigail Cardino said.
Some of the key features of the Globe Home 5G WiFi modem include an LCD display that displays a QR code for easy connection of your devices. The touchscreen display also allows easy SIM registration and lets users monitor their signal strength any time of the day. Aside from that, you can do a few taps to get help if you encounter any issues or concerns. Globe is confident of its product that it is offering a 7-day money back guarantee in case the user is not satisfied with it.
This announcement is part of Globe’s push for 5G expansion, where it has deployed 378 new 5G mobile sites in the first nine months of 2024 to increase 5G coverage to 98.51% in Metro Manila and 94.91% in key cities across Visayas and Mindanao. As of September, over 8 million devices were connected to Globe’s 5G network.
Globe also told us that their new Home 5G WiFi is under soft launch, and that they will reveal more details by the first quarter of 2025.
