If you’re a frequent traveller and use a phone that support an eSIM, GOMO offers roaming eSIM packs that are competitively priced. This was announced a few days ago, and we finally got it in our GOMO app.
The prices of the GOMO roaming eSIM packs are competitive: their Php 199 pack gives you 1GB roaming data for 7 days, while Php 359 gives you 3GB roaming data for 15 days, with both packs covering over 100 countries. For comparision, AirAlo has a Japan eSIM pack for $4.50(~Php 260) for 1GB data for 7 days, while their 15 day pack has 2GB data and is priced at $6.50(~Php 370).
Power users can go for GOMO’s other roaming eSIM packs: Php 1,499 gets you 20GB data for 15 days, while Php 1,999 gets you the same data allocation but for 30 days. GOMO’s higher data packs are more expensive than AirAlo in this case: AirAlo’s equivalent 20GB data for 30 days for Japan will cost you $26 or around Php 1,500.
GOMO notes that its roaming eSIMs are 5G-ready and have LTE coverage in the Philippines, which means that you can use them locally afterwards by puchasing local GOMO data packs. GOMO also notes that all roaming eSIMs can be transferred up to 4 times. The roaming eSIM is also reusable–GOMO notes in its FAQ that you just need to purchase another roaming promo via the GOMO app to use the eSIM again.
