Google Pixel 7 Pro Benchmark Scores Leaked: Tensor G2 Tested

The Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are nearing announcement and it seems that the leaks are starting to pile up as well. The benchmark scores for the Google Pixel 7 Pro are out, specifically on popular app Geekbench.

The news first broke out through famous tech personality Yogesh Brar’s post on Twitter. The scores are out in full view, although they’re just typed out and not a screenshot which may impact their credibility. Nonetheless, here are the scores:

For Geekbench 5 Single Core testing, the Google Pixel 7 Pro managed a score of 1068. That’s more or less on par with a Snapdragon 888, which was the flagship chipset from 2021. Make no mistake, it’s still considered a powerful processor in this day and age. Any person would be happy to own a device with this under the hood.

Multi-core testing, on the other hand, displayed a lower result of 3149. It still matches up with the Snapdragon 888 of 2021, but also is within the realm of the Snapdragon 865+ which is a supercharged version of 2020’s leading chip.

Moving on to the Antutu benchmark, the Google Pixel 7 Pro hit a score of 801116. That’s slightly above the POCO X4 GT and its Dimensity 8100, but below the SD888-equipped Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.

Based on all of these benchmarks, the Google Pixel 7 family and its latest in-house Tensor G2 processor are still impressive but nowhere near the top. However, we know that a smooth experience is a fusion of hardware and well-optimized software. We can trust Google to handle the latter.

Is this a dealbreaker though? Let us know below!
