Folks at Home Credit, the ubiquitous lending service that’s in almost every mall in the Philippines today are celebrating as they report that they’ve managed to rake in nearly Php 61 billion worth of POS sales in 2024.
That’s positive growth for the company, since that’s 19% higher than what they earned in 2023. Take note that that’s POS sales, meaning the transaction that occurs when a customer pays for a product or service at a business, like when a buyer pays for a phone using a Home Credit loan.
To put it in perspective, the company said it funded the purchase of around 2.91 million items in the form of mobile phones, appliances, computers, and furniture. Of that 61 billion, around Php 31.7 billion were mobile phones, while Php 10.2 billion were appliances, and Php 7.1 billion were laptops and computers.
“At Home Credit, the growth we have experienced goes beyond just numbers. It reflects the lives we have empowered by providing accessible financial solutions that help our customers live the lives they deserve,” said chief sales officer Puneet Suneja.
