HONOR 90 Series Official, Now with 200-Megapixel Main Camera

HONOR officially launches the 90 series in China. While it has similarities with the 80 series, the main upgrade with the 90 series is the use of a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 sensor, along with a slightly bigger 5000mAh battery. Unlike the 80 series, HONOR did confirm that the 90 series will have global availability with Google services soon.

The HONOR 90 Pro has the same set of features found on its predecessor, which include a 6.78-inch 120hz AMOLED display with a centrally-placed capsule for a 50-megapixel main selfie camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, stereo speakers, and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It gets a different rear camera setup, as the HONOR 90 Pro has OIS on the main camera, along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel portrait camera with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS. Charging speed is also faster at 90w.

The vanilla model, on the other hand, uses a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, with the Cortex-A710 cores having a clock speed of 2.5Ghz (from 2.4Ghz). It also inherits the 50-megapixel selfie camera and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera from the Pro model, though its third camera is just a depth sensor and the main camera does not have OIS. Like its predecessor, you have a 6.7-inch 120hz OLED display and 66w wired charging on the vanilla 90.

The HONOR 90 starts at CNY 2499(~Php 19.9k) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the Pro version starts at CNY 3299(~Php 26.2k) for the same variant. Both models will be available in China on June 7, and there’s no definite date yet for global availability.
