Aside from the nova 11 series–where an Ultra variant was introduced for the first time, Huawei updated its MateBook D14 and D16 for 2023 as well with 13th gen Intel processors. The MateBook D14 can be configured with either a Core i5-1340P or a Core i7-1360P, while the D16 can be configured with up to a Core i9-1390H. This is the first time that Huawei is offering a Core i9 configuration on its MateBook line.
Both 14-inch and 16-inch models can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB PCIe NVMe SSDs, and come with Windows 11 Home out of the box. The 14-inch model has a 56wH battery, while the 16-inch version comes with a 60wH battery. Regardless of that, both support 65w wired charging–and that also applies to the Core i9 version of the MateBook D16 2023.
For the rest of the specs, both models have a 1920×1200 resolution for their displays, along with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Both also have support for Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6, along with 2 USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and a headphone jack. You also get a 1080p webcam and dual microphones as well, along with a 5-point trackpad.
The MateBook D14 2023 starts at CNY 5099(~Php 41.6k), while the MateBook D16 2023 starts at CNY 5699(~Php 46.5k). Both models will go on sale in China on April 26, and we expect Huawei to bring them to the Philippines in the coming weeks.
