If you’re not aware, itel Philippines got themselves embroiled in a controversy where they accidentally sold thousands of their A50 4G phone for Php 1 during a Piso Sale live selling session with Unbox Diaries. The original plan was that only 10 units of the A50 4G would be sold for Php 1, but a technical error in their system caused them to go beyond the allocated 10 units.

Itel Philippines has been quiet since the issue erupted, but they have released an official statement where they will honor the Piso Sale. In its statement, itel said that it will take full responsibility and will provide affected buyers a voucher valued at Php 2,898 that they can use on the official itel TikTok store until July 31.
The voucher can be used to re-order the A50 4G or to buy any other itel products. itel adds that it will send the voucher to affected customers through direct messaging. itel also emphasized that only one voucher will be given per buyer.
“We assure you that we are using this incident as an opportunity to refine our processes, thereby enhancing the user shopping experience and ensuring the continued delivery of the dependable quality you expect from itel,” they said in their statement.
