Ligo + Angkas = Awesome
Ligo Sardines is stepping up to the challenge posed by COVID-19 and the lockdown imposed by the PH government to help stem the tide of the virus – aside from re-allocating it’s entire 2020 advertising budget to non-governmental organizations, charities, and independent groups that are on the frontline in the battle against the coronavirus, the brand is now donating personal protection equipment to frontliners in hospitals where PPE is low.
Because of the logistical nightmare that’s been imposed by the lockdown and the fact that its delivery trucks are needed to actually deliver its products, Ligo Sardines has tapped Angkas and its riders to deliver PPEs to hospitals that are dangerously low on supply.
PPEs like masks and face shields are vital for the fight against the virus, as without these life-saving PPE doctors and nurses are at risk to be infected themselves if they treat and intubate patients who have the disease.
Ligo is sending the supplies to the Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Premiere Medical Center, and Ospital ng Muntinlupa, and is currently coordinating with more hospitals for delivery.
