M3 Apple iMac MIGHT Launch in the Latter Half of 2023

Those waiting for a new Apple iMac have some good news: according to Bloomberg, Apple’s next round of new Macs will be announced in the latter half of 2023, with the next-generation iMac possibly getting an M3 processor.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who has a very good track record, said that the next-generation iMac is undergoing production tests, which means that Apple is on track for a late 2023 launch. While it is expected to be similar to the current M1 iMac–same color choices and same 24-inch display–Gurman reports that Apple will make tweaks to its internal components to accommodate the new M3 processor, along with an updated design for the stand. This is a positive development for the iMac line, as Apple has last updated it in 2021.

Aside from a new M3 iMac, other new Macs that Apple will unveil include the long-rumored 15-inch MacBook Air, and updated 13-inch MacBook Air, and a Mac Pro that uses Apple Silicon.

While both MacBook Airs will reportedly stick to an M2 processor, the Mac Pro will debut an M2 Ultra, which is said to provide up to 24 CPU cores, up to 76 GPU cores, and as much as 192GB of RAM to satisfy all power users.

However, Gurman said that Apple MAY opt to use an M3 processor for the 13-inch MacBook Air, and that we’re expected to see the M3 as well with the OLED iPad Pro in early 2024.
